Aaron S. Eby, resident of Soquel for 16 years, died at his home on the Watsonville highway (Soquel Dr.) this morning after an extended illness. He was a native of Illinois, 83 years of age.
Mr. Eby, member of the Congregational church, moved to Soquel from Stockton in 1915. Surviving him are the widow, Mrs. Anna Eby; six daughters, Mrs. Lucy J. Hensel, wife of the Soquel postmaster, Mrs. Mary James and Mrs. Florence Ferguson of Stockton, Mrs. Harriet Rohr of Herrick, South Dakota, Mrs. Sylvia Richards, of Atkinson, Nebraska, and Mrs. James Cooper of Menlo Park; and three sons, Fred Eby of Long Beach, Rex Eby of Woodley, Nebraska, and Edward Eby of O'Neill, Nebraska.
The Rev. M. R. Fix, pastor of the Congregational church in Dinuba, will officiate at funeral services to be held at the Chase mortuary at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon. Interment in the Soquel cemetery."
