She was the daughter of the late Carter H. and Virginia Miller Hopkins. She was also preceded in death by her stepmother, Flora Hall Hopkins, a sister, Lillie Mae Hopkins, and two brothers, Harold Eugene Hopkins and Wayne Carter Hopkins.
Mrs. Finlay was a retired employee of Texas Instruments and was of the Baptist faith.
