Della K. Allen, age 87, of West, passed away early Friday morning, December 12, 2014 at St. Catherine's Center in Waco.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in West, with Dr. John Crowder officiating. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Aderhold Funeral Home.

Della was born August 9, 1927 in Cypress, the daughter of Henry W. and Alma (Kalbow) Meyer. She was a graduate of Sam Houston High School in Houston. She was united in marriage to Joe Bill Anderson in Houston. Joe preceded her in death on April 6, 1984. Then on February 22, 1985 she was united in marriage to Dale W. Allen in Houston. Dale preceded her in death on October 25, 2003. Della worked for several banks in the Houston area. She was a member of First Baptist Church of West and VFW Post #4819 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed dancing and spending time with her family.

Della is also preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Irene Heine & Gladys Juergen.

Survivors include two sons, James Anderson and wife Gene of West and John Anderson and wife Patricia of Raymond, MS; a step-son, Terry Allen of Spring; a step-daughter, Brenda Wells and husband Mike of Tomball; a sister, Evelyn Kleb and husband Wallace; six grandchildren, Traci Pustejovsky and husband Bob, Jennifer Gerik and husband David, Jeff Anderson and wife Ashley, Maj. Patrick Anderson and wife DeAnne, Walker Anderson and wife Katie, and Parker Anderson and wife Lexie; 4 step-grandchildren, Brent Wells and wife Shelley, Greg Wells and wife Brandi, Micah Wells and wife Cherith and Tara Allen; 11 great-grandchildren, Nolan, Lydia, Molli, Mariann, Daniel, Madison, Jaden, Jackson, Abigail, Courtney and Gray; 5 step great-grandchildren, Shyla, Tyler, Shayne, Memphis and Paisley; 1 great-great-granddaughter, Farrah; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers are Jeff Anderson, Bob Pustejovsky, David Gerik, Maj. Patrick Anderson, Walker Anderson, Parker Anderson, Nolan Pustejovsky, Daniel Gerik and Jaden Anderson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of West Building Fund or Providence Hospice.
