She also related another story to her children as follows: When Alberry and Elizabeth Jane were younger they were standing by a well and they made an agreement with each other, that the one that died first would let the other one know how it was. After his wife's death he would ride by that same well on his way home at night. One night as he rode by the well a light shined just on him, nowhere else. It shined on him all the way home.
