After a few years residence in Illinois he came to Iowa, which state has ever since been his home. He was united in marriage Sept. 10, 1872, with Miss Jane Patterson. To
this union were born six children two sons and four daughters, all of whom are left to mourn the loss of a loving father. His widow, one brother and one sister
also survive.
Mr. Brill had been afflicted several years but was able to be up and about the house until a few weeks before his death, which occurred at 2 o'clock Friday morning, Feb. 2, 1917, his age being 80 years, 8 months and 14
days.
He was a good neighbor, ever ready to assist the needy, and his passing will be felt by many. Having lived more than the allotted time he often expressed his readiness to go to meet the loved ones who had gone before. Funeral
services, conducted by Rev. J. J. Brabbs, at Bethel Monday afternoon, Feb. 5,
and burial at Bethel cemetery.
