The Burlington Free Press (Burlington, Vermont) July 23, 1892: "In the fall of 1886 Mrs. Adams founded what is now known as the College Street Mission,at No. 66 College Street. Through many discouragements she kept up the work, often almost single handed, until churches of the city took hold of it, since which the work has grown steadily until now a trained worker, Miss Wright of the Moody Training school in Chicago has been secured to give her whole time in Christian work among the people of that part of the city. The mission will prove a more lasting and honorable monument than marble to this faithful woman, who 'hath done what she could.' "
