He moved up north to the Bay area with his mother and step father, and returned to the Valley around 1970, living with his aunt and uncle, Donnetta and Joe Spink. He met his wife Melanie at Valley Presbyterian Church where his grandparents, Reginald and Gladys Ellis were members, and was married in 1974. He joined the Los Angeles Fire Department as a paramedic in 1975. Glenn was joyfully looking forward to the birth of his first grandchild, born to his daughter Rebecca and her husband shortly after his death.
Glenn was a quiet, kind, and gentle man. However he also was a strong protector for his sister and others. He was creative, having wood carving and playing the cello as hobbies.
He is sorely missed by his loved ones, but they are comforted knowing that he is with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
