He was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Korean Conflict. He was retired from Olin Chemical Corporation after 20 years of service. Mr. Cox was a member of the Cleveland Masonic Lodge #134 F&AM where he served as a former commander and was a member of First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce A. Cox, Sr. and Carrie Ridge Cox; brothers, Bruce A. Cox, Jr. and Lytle Cox; and sisters, Mildred Ellis and June Nipper.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
