DEATH OF BERT MOODY

Stricken with Typhoid While on Way to Arkansas

Bert V. Moody, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Moody of Douglas, died at Pittsburg, Kan., last Thursday, of typhoid fever. He left here on the 8th of November, accompanying a stock shipment to Omaha. From there he intended to go to Bald Knob, Ark., where an uncle lives. He was taken ill at Kansas City, but continued his journey and was forced to go into a hospital when he reached Pittsburg. His uncle at Bald Knob was notified and was with him when he died, the end coming after an illness of eleven days. He was buried at his old home at Bald Knob.

Bert Moody was 19 years of age and has lived here since he was a child. He was an industrious young man, well liked and respected. He was apparently in the best of health when he left Douglas, and the news of his death came as a shock to his parents, who have the sympathy of the community.
