Rites Tomorrow For Mrs. Ida Blue, Gold Star Mother

Funeral services for Mrs. Ida May Reamer Blue, 85, widow of Charles H. Blue, will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the Deal funeral home, 4812 Georgia Avenue NW, with burial in Rock Creek Cemetery.

Mrs. Blue, active in patriotic affairs here for many years, died Tuesday night at her residence, 914 Decatur Street NW after an illness of two years.

She came to Washington from Hanover, Pa., at the age of 5, during the Civil War, and had lived here continually since that time. She was a member of Grace Darling Seibold Chapter, American Gold Star Mothers, and took a leading part also in activities of the American War Mothers.

One of her sons, Walter R. Blue, died in France during the World War. Surviving are six sons, Frank L., Edward S., William F., Ralph D., Norman R., and Lou A. Blue, and one daughter, Mrs. Gertrude V. Sheckells, all of Washington.
