Our loving SON, GRANDSON, BROTHER and FRIEND, Joe Martinez, passed away from a tragic skateboarding hit and run at the age of 16 on November 1, 2014. He was born to Casey Wilkinson and Joseph Martinez on August 16, 1998 in Ogden, Utah.
He enjoyed skateboarding, music, Pokémon and especially playing his guitar. His main passion was for his family and friends. He loved raising his grandma.
He left behind a large family including his parents, step-parents; sisters and brothers, Brittany Fish, Savannah Fish, Trenton Linger, Trevor Ryan, Trista Linger, Serina Martinez, Chantelle Martinez, Angelic Santana, Cayden Kisel and Mason Martinez; including grandparents; great-grandparents, many aunts, uncles and cousins; and many many many friends, whom were like family.
He was residing with his grandma Kelly. Together they were each other's everything.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, great-grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 10, 2014 at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. A gathering will be held on Monday prior to services from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment will be held at the Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch.
The family would like to give a special, special thanks to Smith and Edwards, Ogden City Police Department, Myers Mortuary, Standard Examiner and Fox 13 News for their love and support during this time of need.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Joe Martinez Memorial Fund at any America First Credit Union.
