MRS. MARION LOUISE HANKINS, 324 Vista street, wife of Cpl. Shields Hankins, of a nearby Army camp, died at the Washington County Hospital at 6 a.m. Friday, of complications after an illness of three weeks, aged 44 years.
Born and reared near Waynesboro, the daughter of William H. and Eliza (Brumbaugh) Andrews, she was a member of the Grace United Brethren Church, the Temple Builders class and the missionary society.
Besides her husband, she is survived by the following relatives, all of them whom live in Hagerstown: sisters, Mrs. John L. Semler and Mrs. Arthur Carpenter; brothers, John A., Sherman K. and Sigmund H. Andrews.
The body was removed to the funeral home of A. K. Coffman, where it will remain until removed to the home of Mrs. Semler, 438 East Franklin street, Saturday evening. It will lie in state in the Grace U. B. Church from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday, when services will be held by the Rev. G. I. Rider. Interment in Beautiful View cemetery, Middleburg.
