Born in Shoreditch London in 1854 the son of Henry Field and Sarah Ann Lee. Married to Mary Greenslade Escott until her death in Southend Essex in 1925 and then remarried to Sarah Elizabeth Metcalf (Ciss). He died at 9 Bargrange Ave Shipley Yorks aged 88 yrs and was cremated at 11am 16 Mar 1943 (from notice in Yorkshire Evening Post)
