GALLION | Arthur Eugene Anderson, age 82, of Gallion, died November 6, 2014, at Bryant W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital in Demopolis. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday, November 10, 2014, at Demopolis Memorial Gardens with Minister Josh and Amy Wyatt officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing.

He was born Oct. 28, 1932, in Deland, Ill., to the late Arthur J. and Edna Chaney Anderson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur J. and Edna Chaney Anderson; son, William Anderson; and sister, Mary Greathouse.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Estes Anderson; daughters, Lisa (Keith) Phillips of Sawyerville and Shirley Anderson of Sawyerfille; sons, Roy (Hattie) Anderson of Newbern and Randy Anderson of Faunsdale; sisters, June Reed of Illinois, Ruth Ann Foster of Illinois and Eileen Weaver of Texas; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchilren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov. 10, at 11 a.m. at Demopolis Memorial Gardens with Minister Josh and Amy Wyatt officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing.

His grandsons will serve as active pallbearers, and the honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Southern Care Hospice.
