Mrs. Effie Allen Powell, 82, of 606 O’Shaughnessy Avenue, died Wednesday at Crestwood Hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel.
Burial will be in State Line Cemetery, with Spry Funeral Home in charge. Elder H. L. Crumbly will officiate.
Survivors include a son, Robert E. Powell of Huntsville; three daughters, Mrs. Ester Saxon and Mrs. Harry Christian, both of Huntsville, and Mrs. Charlie Mae Sawyer of Cincinnati, Ohio; a brother, Norman Allen, of Huntsville; a sister, Mrs. Nellie Franklin, of Huntsville; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Howard Brewer, Lowell Franklin, Ernest Smithson, A. F. Jones, Floyd Harden and Kenneth Dockendorf.
The body will be at the funeral home until time for the funeral.
