Joseph W. Newkirk, 93, died Tuesday at a nursing home in Warsaw.
He was born in Moniteau County, July 25, 1881, son of Napolean and Nannie Wright Newkirk. He married Amy Henry, Nov. 12, 1902, and she preceded him in death in October, 1964.
He was a retired mechanic and a member of the Latham Christian Church.
Surviving are two sons, Henry and Napoleon; and a daughter, Mrs. Aron Smith.
