Billy "Bill" Don Price, 78, of Laguna Park, Texas, went to be with the Lord on October 31, 2014, at Providence Hospital in Waco, Texas. There will be a Celebration of Life Memorial at Riverside Baptist Church in Meridian, Texas. A meal will be served for the family from 11-12 on November 8, 2014, the memorial will follow at 1 p.m. Bill Price was born on January 18, 1936, in Peacock, Stonewall County, Texas. He retired from Chemical Lime in 2001 with 15 years of service. He worked for the Sweetwater Fire Department in 1964; served six years in the National Guard; two years in the Army Reserves; and spent time in the Army. He loved playing guitar, singing, and had a band for 25 years. For the last three years he was very active in his family church. He loved to teach his church family members how to play the guitar. He was preceded in death by his father, Allen Jackson Price, mother, Hazel Inez (Agnew) Price; brother, Denver Price, and two nephews, Darryl Price and Sterling Lofton. Survivors include his wife, Debby Price of Laguna Park; sister, Sue and husband, Tommy Lofton of Louisiana; brother, Jerry and wife, Vicki Price of Lubbock; Sister-in-law, Loretta Price of Waco; son, Leland and wife, Velda Price of Arkansas; daughters, Celinda and husband, Tony Varnell of Horseshoe Bay, Tammy and husband, Danny Burnett of Clifton, Wendy Garrett and Katy Nowlin of Laguna Park; and grandchildren, Becky Bast, Matthew and wife, Amber Price, Michael and John Varnell, Tiffany Hale, Wade Oaks, Dakota Oaks and Trinity Garrett; and great-grandchildren, Landon Varnell, Tristan and Natalie Price, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to Providence Hospital and Hospice; St. Jude; West Shore Volunteer Fire Department; Riverside Baptist Church; Fuzzy Friends; or any charity of one's choice. Bill was cremated and his ashes were interred at Clifton Memorial Park .
