For many years he was an employee of the Delaware and Hudson Railroad Corporation and retired several years ago.
Mr. Shea constructed a number of homes on his property, and the settlement was officially named Shea Place.
He is survived by his wife, Grace, one son, one daughter, two grandchildren, and by two sisters.
Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday from St. Patrick's Church in Port Henry, the Rt. Rev. Msgr. B. J. Staie officiating.
Interment was in St. Patrick's Cemetery at Port Henry.
