Miss Mary Lucinda Shirley, 74, died at her residence after a short illness. She was born in Habersham County June 30 1888, and was a life-long resident of the county.
She was a daughter of the late Sebastian and Eliza Dover Shirley of Habersham County. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Frances Dooly, Hollywood; Mrs. Lessie Chastain, Cornelia; Mrs. Chives Stubblefield, Cherryville, NC; one brother, Cornel Shirley, Tullahoma, TN; and two nieces, Miss Elizabeth Shirley and Mrs. Mae Killian, both of Clarkesville, whom she reared.
Burial is in the Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery, Hollywood, GA.
