Mr. Thomas Abell, an aged citizen, who resides near New Market, died at his residence Tuesday. His funeral took place at Calvary Wednesday.
NOTES; From his great-great granddaughter: "He was born in November 1820 in Washington (now Marion) County, Kentucky. and married Julia Mills. I have not been able to find her death date but she was also born in 1820. Thomas Abell's parents were Joseph Abner Abell, Jr. and Martha Nancy (Mills) Abell. His parents are buried in Holy Name of Mary Cemetery at Calvary, Marion County, Kentucky. I have never found a middle name for Thomas Abell in any records--even Civil War records only list Thomas Abell. Thomas and is family were living in Missouri in the 1860 Federal Census of 1860. Thomas and Martha Nancy (Mills) Abells known children were: Sybella Clementine Abell; Lloyd Adelbert Abell; Albert Quinn Abell; Elizabeth A. "Eliza" Abell and my ancestor, Charles Robert Abell."--Linda Lee, Feb. 20, 2018.
