Edna Mae Beckett, 85, of Parkersburg, passed away Nov. 10, 2014, at the Camden Clark Medical Center.

She was born Oct. 8, 1929, in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Thomas A. and Della Bartlett Hanley.

She was a devoted mother, homemaker, and assisted her late husband in the business they owned, Parkersburg Construction Company, and she attended South Parkersburg Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Believer's Sunday School Class. She was over a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star and her hobbies included flowers and collecting teapots.

She is survived by five children, June Ann (Dave) Fought of Washington, James Morgan (Becky) Beckett, III of Naples, Fla., Susan Jane (Larry) Dale of Belleville, Jennifer Lynn (Robert) Belcastro of Naples, Fla., and Jon Michael (Kelly) Beckett of Parkersburg; one brother, Robert Hanley of Belleville; one sister, Mary L. McDonough of Parkersburg; 10 grandchildren, Chris Fought, Robyn Thomson, Rachel Williams, Jamie Wosje, Ashley Beckett, Jonika Hazelett, Elizabeth Collins, Mike Pegg, Mary-Kate Beckett-Buchanan, and Juliane Beckett; 9 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James M. "June" Beckett, Jr.; daughter, Joan Michelle Steele; one brother, James R. Hanley; and three sisters, Maxine Houser, Sharon Jean Hanley, and Kathryn Joann Hanley.

Services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 13, at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Rev. Nathan Williams, Rev. Larry Dale and Juliane Beckett officiating. Entombment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 12, at the funeral home, with an Order of the Eastern Star service at 7:30 p.m.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the love and care given by the Companion Sitters, Kay W., Becky J., Ruth H., Emily S., Karen R., Juli B., Mel F., Robin W., and Kathy B.
