ABICHT, DALE, 87, of St. Augustine, passed away, at his home, May 8, 2004. A longtime resident of Orlando, he moved his family there in 1947, from Marietta, Ohio. He owned and operated a window manufacturing company and was active in community affairs. As a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church of Orlando, he sang in their choir for ten years. He was an avid boater and outdoorsman and was also very accomplished in woodworking. After his retirement, he made and donated many wooden crosses to various churches around Florida, including a processional cross used at the Trinity Episcopal Church in St. Augustine, FL. He is survived by his loving wife, Anna; two children, Jeff, St. Augustine; Judy MacDonald, Winston- Salem, NC; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was loved and will be missed greatly. Services will be held on May 22, 2004 at 10:30AM at Trinity Episcopal Church in St. Augustine. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his honor, to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 332 N. Lauderdale, Memphis, TN 38105. Craig Funeral Home and Crematory is charge of the arrangements.
