Sidney S. Miller, 79, of East Pershing Avenue, Lebanon, died Sunday, April 11, 2004, in the Hershey Medical Center. Born in Lebanon on May 25, 1924, he was the son of the late M. Albert and Jennie Fishman Miller. He was a retired administrator for the Pennsylvania Department of Health. He was a member of Congregation Beth Israel, where he was vice president of the congregation, president of the Men's Club, advisor of AZA, and helped operate bingo for the Men's Club. He was past president of B'nai B'rith, past commander of the Jewish War Veterans, past president of Lebanon Veterans Advisory Council, and past scoutmaster for the former Troop 27. He was a 1942 graduate of Lebanon High School, a 1949 graduate of Lebanon Valley College, and an Army medic during World War II. Surviving are a nephew, Jay F. Miller, and his wife Andrea of Langhorne, and a great niece. He was proceeded in death by his brother Kenneth I. Miller. (Lebanon Daily News, April 12, 2004)
