Milton W. Waack, age 68, of 8723 Sunset Ln., Manitowoc, died unexpectedly Thursday evening, December 7, 2000, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 11, 2000, at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, 7531 English Lake Rd., Newtonburg. Rev. Victor Headrick will officiate with burial to follow in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.
Milton was born February 4, 1932, in the township of Newton, Manitowoc County, son of the late Alvin and Althea Schroeder Waack. Milton grew up and was educated in the township of Newton and attended St. John's Ev. Lutheran School and was confirmed at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church on April 14, 1946. He was married to Joan Borgwardt, October 30, 1954, at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church. He was employed at Medusa Portland Cement Company, Manitowoc, from 1954 until 1968 and also farmed until the present time. He enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. He was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, Newtonburg, serving on St. John's Lutheran School Board, and a past member of the Newton Volunteer Fire Department from 1969 until 1979.
Survivors include his wife, Joan; one son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Lou Ann Waack, rural Manitowoc and their children, Jason, Jenny, and Kayla; two daughters and sons-in-law, Rita and Marc Kopidlansky, Manitowoc and their sons, Jordan and Taylor, Renee and Marty Mikeal, Manitowoc; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Elaine and Clinton Karstaedt, Manitowoc, Judy and Donald Karstaedt, rural Manitowoc, Shirley and Michael Wagner, rural Newton; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gerald and Janice Borgwardt, rural Manitowoc. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Milton was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws, Walter and Anna Borgwardt.
Memorials would be appreciated for St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church or Manitowoc Lutheran High School.
Relatives and friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, Newtonburg and Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
