Ralph M. Gibson, a freight damage inspector for a trucking firm and a lifelong Oregonian, died Monday of a coronary arrest.
Mr. Gibson, who was born March 28, 1918, in Eugene, had lived in Portland for 27 years. He resided at 7824 SE Bybee Bvd.
He graduated from the University of Oregon and had a master’s degree in business administration from Columbia University.
He is survived by his wife Hazel E.; daughters Valerae Maynard, Lorraine Woodle and Larae Gibson, all of Portland; brother Robert L. of Eugene and five grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Mr. Scott Funeral Home with private committal in Lincoln Memorial Crematorium.
