Mrs Mabel M. Lord, wife of William H. Lord, died Sunday at the Cape Cod hospital, following an illness of three weeks, at the age of 71 years. Mr and Mrs Lord would have observed their 51st wedding anniversary next Monday. Mrs Lord was born in Boston, a daughter of Captain Samuel A. and Mrs Caroline Day Lawrence of New Orleans, La., and Rockland, Me. Mrs Lord was past president of the Dennis Ladies' Aid society and a member of Dennis Union church and of Dennis grange. Surviving besides her husband are a son, Edgar Lord of Claremont, N. H.; three daughters. Mrs E. Stacy Whittemore of Dennis, Mrs Merrill B. Steere of East Dorset, Vt., and Mrs Wallace Freeman of Sandwich; four grandsons and two granddaughters.
