Harold was a real-estate developer, developing Thunderbird Heights and Plattsburgh RV Park. Harold greatly enjoyed his work, but his greatest love was for his family.
He was predeceased by his sisters, Ruth Mickelson and Betty Morrison.
Harold was survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Shirley; his children, Dennis Alford and his wife, Rita, of Plattsburgh, Dean Alford of Plattsburgh; his daughter, Jackie Tetreault and her husband, Kevin, of Plattsburgh; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Calling hours were held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, November 14, 2014, at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh, New York. A funeral service was celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2014, at the First Assembly of God Church. Burial was in Union Cemetery in Mooers Forks.
