Michael J. Abric, age 21, of Newtown, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 18, 2002, at Hartford Hospital. He was born in Bridgeport, September 30, 1980, son of --- Abric of Newtown, and the late Robert L. Abric II. A lifelong resident of Newtown, Michael graduated from Newtown High School, class of 2001. He was last employed by the Southbury Fence Co. in Southbury. Mr. Abric was an avid fisherman and was particularly fond of animals. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a brother, --- Abric III of Newtown; his paternal grandparents, --- and --- Abric of North Granby; an uncle, --- Abric of Bristol; two aunts, --- Piroh of Milford, and --- Sequin of Beacon Falls. He is also survived by two nephews; and several cousins. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 23, 2002, at 9 a.m. from the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, and at 9:30 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday (TODAY) from 4 to 8 p.m. Contributions may be made to the Connecticut Humane Society, 455 Post Road East, Westport, CT 06880.
