ELDER, DR. ROBERT R. ELDER, 82, of 309 Front St., Brownsville died June 9, 1976.

He had practiced dentistry for more than 50 years in Brownsville.

He was born May 18, 1894, in Bellwood, PA, the son of the late CALVIN KINGSLEY and CARRIE RAUGH ELDER.

He was a graduate of South Brownsville High School and also of Franklin and Marshall College and the University of Pittsburgh School of Dentistry.

He was an Army veteran of WWI and a member of the Chillicothe, OH F. & A.M., and a member of A. Kramer Axton, American Legion Post 295, Brownsville.

He was a past president of the Fayette County Dental Society, a member of the Pennsylvania Odontological Society, a past president of the Brownsville Rotary Club, a member of Fort Burd United Presbyterian Church, and was treasurer for many years of the Session of the former First Presbyterian Church of Brownsville.

Survivors include a son, ROBERT R. ELDER, JR., a daughter, MRS. FLORENCE E. KISINGER; a brother, DR. HERMAN K. ELDER.

He was preceded in death by his wife, RUTHANNE HIBBS ELDER in 1973.

Burial in Redstone Cemetery under the direction of the J.W. Kisinger Funeral Home, Brownsville.
