Mary Tuma was born in Malsice. She was the daughter of Frantisek Tuma and Anezka Sediwy. She married Josef Rejlek in 1881 in Malsice. They had one child in Bohemia before they came to the United States around 1884. Four more children were born to them in Chicago before Josef died in 1905. After her husband died, Mary Rejlek worked as a washwoman to keep her family together. She married Joseph Poklop in Chicago in April 1909. He died sometime before 1920. She died in 1921. Her grave is not marked. She is buried under the name of Rajlik.
