Following an illness of more than a year, Prince Albert Ellis passed away at his home in this village Friday morning, Feb. 26, at the age of 82 years. Mr Ellis was born in Brewster, the son of Marshall and Rosalie Chase Ellis, and was the youngest of their six children. One sister, Mrs Isadora Howland of Carver, who is 84 years of age, survives him. In 1868 with his father and mother, Mr Ellis moved from West Brewster to this village, and the last 64 years of his life have been spent here, and in the house in which he died. In 1871 he married Sophia R. Hefler of Dennis, who passed away more than thirty years ago. Twenty-one years ago he was married to Selina Latimer, who survives him. Funeral services were held at his late home Sunday at 2 p. m., and were attended by many of the older residents, to whom he was well known. There were also in attendance friends and relatives from Boston, Arlington, Carver and Brewster. Burial was in the family lot in the Dennis cemetery.
