"Earl O. Sheaters, 88, of Green, passed away Jan. 2, 2006. He was born in Greensburg, Ohio, on Jan. 30, 1917. Earl was a dedicated hard worker at Mohawk Rubber for 42 years and the Green Volunteer Fire Department for 10 years. He was a member of Greensburg Lions Club for over 50 years. Earl never met a stranger, and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lorraine; daughters... sister, Marie Goins of Akron; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, 2006, at the Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd. (Route 619), with Rev. Darryl Moulder officiating. Calling hours will be Friday, 3 to 6 p.m., and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Interment at Greensburg Cemetery."
