William H. Eaton III

William H. Eaton, age 82, of Scituate, passed away peacefully after a brief illness November 10, 2014. Mr. Eaton owned his window cleaning business for many years. He joined Scituate Grange in 1956 and held many offices over the years, currently serving as secretary. He also belonged to Norwell Grange where he was chaplain and the Mayflower North Pomona Grange. He was involved with the Home and Community Committee for many years.

Bill was known for his fudge and interesting desserts he made for fairs, raffles and meetings. He helped with the Grange exhibits at the Marshfield Fair each summer. Bill also enjoyed visiting shut-in grange members and at Christmas time and would take plants to many of them. He was a loyal and faithful grange member. Mr. Eaton was also a member of the Scituate Historical Society and the New England Historical Genealogy Society, as well as numerous other genealogy groups. Bill, himself, was a descendent of numerous Mayflower families.

Bill leaves behind many friends, including LIVING. A graveside service will be held Monday, November 17, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. in Union Cemetery, Scituate.
