Mike N. Gaona, age 87, lifetime resident of Miami, Az. passed away Sept 8, 2014 in the comfort of his own home.

He was born to Narcisco and Theresa (Navarritt) Gaona on September 12, 1926. He had 2 sisters Sophia and Esther, and 3 brothers Ralph, Lupe, and Tony. He was the final member of his family to pass away.

He Married Otilia (Tillie) Rubacalva on November 2, 1949. They had 5 children Michael (Barbara), Terri (Tony), Ronnie (Gloria), Gabriel, and Elizabeth. He had 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 3 great great-grandchildren. He started working at Castle dome mine at age 16. Then went to the Sleeping beauty mine, and finally ended at Pinto Valley Mine where he retired as a mill mechanic after 44 years. He was a great provider for his family.

He loved going to the casino and playing his penny machines. Watching his Diamondbacks, and watching the cowboys over the Cardinals. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends

The family would like to thank Heritage Health Care, CVRMC, Mercy Gilbert Hospital, Copper Comm. Hospice Roxi and Linda Joe, and Terri, Ronnie, Gloria, Gabriel, Chris, and KC in the care for Mike.
