NANCY ELLEN (CRENSHAW) TOOMBS, 78, of Barry, died Saturday, Feb. 7, 1981 in Illini Hospital. Born Oct. 5, 1902 in Rockport, she was a daughter of Frank and Nancy Masters Crenshaw. She married Fred Toombs Nov. 18, 1918, in Hannibal. He died in 1967. She is survived by three sons, four daughters, two brothers, Charles Crenshaw of Marblehead and Oscar of Hannibal, Mo.; a sister, Mrs Mabel Short of Tucson, Ariz.; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, a sister and three brothers. Private graveside services were conducted Tuesday in Samuel Taylor cemetery at Rockport by the Rev Robert Byler. McNabb Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Pike County Cancer Fund.
