She was born April 3, 1909, in New Berlin, Ohio.
Her parents were Lawrence and Martha Bishop.
She graduated from North Canton High School and worked at the Hoover Co.
She resided in the Portage Lakes area for 58 years. From 1991 to the present time she had resided at the Canton Christian Home.
She was an active member of Lakeview Christian Church. She sang in the choir, taught Daily Vacation Bible School, and worked with the Ladies Aid and the Missions and Hospitality committees.
Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, H. Stan Acker, to whom she was married for 56 years; her grandson, Stanley R. Acker; her parents; and brothers, Harvey and Roger Bishop.
Catherine was a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother, leaving a rich spiritual heritage for her family.
Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park,
