Bernadine “Bernie” J. McEwen age 92 of Berkley, passed away in Lake City, Michigan on Tuesday, October 21, 2014. Mrs. McEwen was born in Berkley, Michigan on June 20, 1922. She was the daughter of William James and Laura Ann Cornell.
Surviving is her husband Gordon T. McEwen of 68 years, children; Douglas Keith (Iris) McEwen, and Carolyn Kay Minthorn, and a daughter in law Susan (Perry) McEwen. Seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son Donald Gordon McEwen, a grandson Donald Gordon McEwen IV and a son in law Joseph Minthorn.
Visitation at the Sawyer-Fuller Funeral Home 2125 Twelve Mile Road in Berkley (two blocks west of Woodward Avenue) 6-8 pm Friday. Funeral 11 am Saturday at the funeral home. Burial Roseland Park Cemetery in Berkley.
