He was employed for 30 years with National Life and Accident Insurance Company. After his retirement, he worked at Fuji and All Prints as a route driver. Robert was a member of First English Lutheran Church.
He is survived by three sons, John Glasscock, Jeff Glasscock, both of Mansfield and Joe (Laura) Glasscock of Westlake, OH; a daughter, Joyce (Dan) Kachenmeister of Toledo, OH; three grandsons, Justin and Jeremy Glasscock of Mansfield and John Horner of Delaware County, OH; two granddaughters, Jackie and Jenna Glasscock; two great-granddaughters, Elly Glasscock of Delaware County and Alexis Horner of FL; a brother, John (June) Glasscock of Mansfield; a sister, Geraldine Shisler of Mansfield; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Frances M. (McCarrick) Glasscock in 2005; a son, James Glasscock in 1949; a daughter-in-law, Susan Glasscock in 2013.
The family will receive friends from 3-8 p.m. Friday, November 21, 2014 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. A funeral service conducted by Rev. Andrew Jones will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to First English Lutheran Church or the Athletic Department of Mansfield Senior, Madison or St. Peter's schools.
