Harold D. Yoder, 80, of Elizabethtown and formerly of Aurora, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at home.

He was born on Wednesday, November 29, 1933 in Streetsboro, Ohio to the late Arthur Thomas Yoder & Lois (Detweiler) Yoder.

Harold was a graduate of Aurora High School Class of 1951 and was retired from decades long self-employment in plumbing, heating and water treatment.

He was a very active member of Mount Joy Mennonite Church, Mt. Joy, PA and Aurora Mennonite Church, Aurora, Ohio, over the years he held many leadership roles in each church. He volunteered at Compeer, Choice Books, and Mt. Joy Gift & Thrift Shop where he also served on the Board of Directors.

Surviving are his wife of 60 years Luella (Miller) Yoder, two daughters Michelle M. Mann and her husband Eric of Elizabethtown, Lois M. Kreider and her husband David of Elizabethtown, three sons H. Jay Yoder and his wife Laura of Mantua, OH, Loren R. Yoder and his wife Nancy of Billings, MT, Thomas L. Yoder and his wife Karen of Harrisonburg, VA, two sisters Mildred Myhre and her husband Paul of Spokane, WA, Jane Detweiler and her husband Jerry of Goshen, IN, a brother Ray Yoder of Middlebury, IN, 15 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 5 step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother Clair Yoder.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday, November 24, 2014 at Mount Joy Mennonite Church, 320 Musser Road Mount Joy, PA. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family in Kraybill Mennonite Cemetery.

Viewing will be from 6 pm until 8 pm on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at Mount Joy Mennonite Church.
