Lula Mary Faris is the daughter of J.C. and M.A. Faris of Virginia. She married John William Price in Pittsylvania County, Virginia on 26 Aug 1897. She and John had eight children: one unknown, Coley W., James Hudson, John Thomas, Lucille Katherine, Walter Earl, Emory Dobbin and Kenneth Wilson. The first four children were born in Virginia and the last four in Texas. She came with her husband, John, about 1901 during the first oil boom, and she and her family remained there.
