Afton Bruchez, of Hayden, died peacefully at Banner Gardens Hospice House in Mesa, Arizona on June 23, 2014. Afton was born February 13, 1930 in Vernal, Utah to Robert and Rosie (Slaugh) Cook. She married Albert Bruchez on November 15, 1948 in Vernal. They moved to the ranch in Hayden, Colorado in 1950. Afton is survived by Albert, her husband of sixty-five years, sister Lenis Atwood of Vernal, three sons, Leon, Donald and Robert (Patty) Bruchez of Hayden, two daughters, Linda (Jerry) Faber of Grand Junction and Barbara Arnold of Mesa, Arizona, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and two sisters. Afton will be missed by her family and many friends in Colorado and Arizona. Services were Wednesday, July 2, at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1295 W. 9th Street, Craig, CO at 11:00 a.m., followed by internment at Hayden Cemetery . Memorial donations may be made to Banner Hospice or Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Third Ward, C/O Grant Mortuary, 621 Yampa Ave., Craig, CO
