Roger C. Hynek, 42, of 4128 Custer St. Manitowoc, died Monday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Philip Hoffmann will officiate with burial in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc, with military graveside service conducted by American Legion Post No. 88 of Manitowoc.

Mr. Hynek was born Dec. 19, 1934, in Two Rivers, son of Melvin and Violet Rocue Hynek. He married Mary C. Karl Feb. 8, 1957, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He was employed at C. Schlei Dray Lines Inc., Manitowoc. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army. Mr. Hynek was a member of American Legion-Drews Bleser Post No. 88 and a member of the Manitowoc Bowling Association.

Survivors include his wife; a son, at home; four daughters, at home (names omitted for privacy); his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Hynek, of Manitowoc; his grandmother, Mrs. Delmina Siewert, of Manitowoc; a brother, James Hynek, of Manitowoc; and five sisters. Miss Margaret Hynek, of Francis Creek, Mrs. Paul (Judy) Sosnosky, of Rt. 1, Newton, Mrs. Lee (Pauline) Sand, of Rt. 2, Two Rivers, Mrs. Art (Carol) Prosek, of Neenah and Miss Nancy Hynek, of Manitowoc.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, where a prayer service will be held at 8 p.m.
