Fannie Mae Ross Weidner, age 67, of Dahlonega, GA died Thursday, November 20, 2014.
She was a lifelong resident of Lumpkin County, and a member of Hilltop Tabernacle Church in Dawson County. She was like a second mother to all of her nieces and nephews, and always showed the positive side of life. She gave more than she ever got and lived her life to the fullest. Fannie was humble hearted to everyone she met.
She was the daughter of the late Leroy and Adelaide Adams Ross, and was also preceded in death by her brothers, Howard Lee Ross, Robert Edward Ross; and sister, Hazel Elizabeth Tyson.
Fannie is survived by her brother, Frank Ross; brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Connie Ross, all of Dawsonville, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Lou and David Hall, Dahlonega, GA, Ruth Annette and Leroy Piper, Marietta, GA, and Brenda Gail Young and Timmy Floyd, Dahlonega, GA. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Fannie are scheduled for 11 AM Monday, November 24, 2014 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, GA.
Pastor Tommy Ross, Rev. Junior Evans, and Rev. Joe Christopher will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Dahlonega, GA.
The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home from 2 PM until 9 PM on Saturday, November 22, 2014, all day Sunday, November 23, 2014, and from 9 AM until service time on Monday, November 24, 2014.
