Curtis James Abshire, 64, of Bentonville passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Nov 20, 2014. He was born March 5, 1950, in Buckeye, AZ to the late Delbert Earl and Janie Mayo Abshire..
A longtime resident of Benton County, he was a member of the First Christian Church in Rogers and was a Mason. Whether it was camping, fishing, boating, skiing or gardening, he love the outdoors. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Connie Carter; and his stepson, Bryan Ewing.
for more than 19 years he was the loving husband of Lori Ann Abshire, who survives, as do a son, Wesley Abshire of Fayetteville, daughter, Tamera Lawson, and stepdaughter, Kim Ewing, both of Springfield, MO; two brothers, Jackie Abshire of Texas and Stanley Abshire of Highfill; six grandchildren, Levi and Dakota Matheson, Dylana Tilley, and Shanda, Samantha and Savannah Harmon; and five great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Nov 23 at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Bentonville. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, Nov 24, at First Christian Church in Rogers.
Arrangements are under the care of Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Bentonville.
