On July 3, 1951, he married the former Shirley Menchinger in Jeffersonville, IN. Together they owned & operated Zick's Supermarket & Catering in St. Joseph from 1961-1981. Harry was in the grocery business most of his life. Prior to owning his own grocery, he worked for Schneck's in St. Joseph.
