John L. Briska; of Chicago, 82; Korean War Veteran, passed away Nov. 20, 2014 peacefully in the company of his wife and children. He was born in Winona, MN to the late Leo and Lydia, nee Zobel. His memory is treasured by his beloved wife of 51 years, his two children; grandchildren; and mother-in-law. John had illustrious careers with The Milwaukee Sentinel, WCCO/CBS in Minneapolis and in Chicago with the AMA, WLS/ABC, Hilton Hotel Corp., WGN, CPD and CPL. He was an avid fitness enthusiast and member of the Rosemont Health and Fitness Club, a devout follower of the Catholic Church and a longtime military and history buff. He will be fondly remember by family members and many friends. Interment at Union Ridge Cemetery, in Chicago.
