She married 1st, Samuel Justus Emery November 6, 1908 in Fairfax, Gregory County, South Dakota; and 2nd, John J. Dion.

MRS. DION DIES AT 81
Mrs. Harriett B. Dion, 81, of R. 1 Grawn, a Traverse City area resident for many years, died Tuesday evening at Swedish Hospital in Denver, Colo., following a one-week illness. Mrs. Dion was visiting relatives in Denver at the time she was taken ill.
Mrs. Dion was born Sept. 1, 1885 at Santee, Neb., and spent her early life there and in South Dakota. In 1908, she married Sam Emery of Mission, S.D., where the couple lived until 1932 when they moved to Monroe Center. Mr. Emery preceded her in death in 1951. In 1953, she married John Dion of St. Charles, S.D.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are eight daughters, Mrs. James (Fern) Moulton and Mrs. Phoebe Stickel of Grawn, Mrs. Lyle (Mildred) Hoobler of Milford, Mrs. Hugh (Eileen) Graham of Traverse City, Mrs. Leland (Effie) Johnson of Alden, Mrs. Loyd (Janell) Campbell of Antioch, Calif., Mrs. Milton (Eva) Kirkpatrick of Oklahoma City and Mrs. Herbert (Rita) Henderson of Gaylord; two stepsons, Frank Dion of Burke, S.D. and Jack Dion of Littleton, Colo,; three sisters, Mrs. Emily Knight of Traverse City, Mrs. Ada McMillen of Tama, Iowa and Mrs. Cristine Hawkins of Pueblo, Colo,; one brother, David Truedell of Norfolk, Neb.; 31 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the St. Mary's Church of Hannah with Rev. Francis Karl officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary's cemetery.
A rosary will be recited Sunday at 7 p.m. at the Hibbard funeral chapel.
