Clyde was born to Jacob S Boggs and Alice Melinda Davis on 10 March 1934 in Clem, Braxton County, West Virginia. His home was in Braxton but in early childhood removed with his family to Randolph County, West Virginia.

Clyde served in the US ARMY, 1st Armored Division during the Korean War/Conflict while obtaining Sergeant Status. After his Honorable Discharge, he re-enlisted for another term receiving second Honorable Discharge Certificate.

He married Shirley Irene White on 17 Dec 1958, in Randolph County, West Virginia, there were four children born to this union.

They removed to Crimora, Virginia where he worked for 27 years at Con Agra in Crozet, Virginia. After his retirement, he along with his wife raised two grandchildren as their own.

He knew no strangers, and would drop everything he was doing to help anyone who was in need.

Clyde suffered from prostate cancer, however, his weakened body succumbed to Congestive Heart Failure. He was the last survivor of his five siblings.

Those left to miss him are his wife of 56 years, three of four children, eight grandchildren and ten of eleven great grandchildren.

Clyde was aged 80 years, 8 months, 13 days at time of passing.

CRIMORA -- Clyde Edward Boggs, 80 , husband of Shirley Irene (White) Boggs, of 71 Mine Branch Road, Crimora, passed away Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014, at Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Mr. Boggs was born March 10, 1934, in Clay County, West Virginia, a son of the late Jacob S. and Alice (Davis) Boggs.
Clyde was a U.S. Army veteran, serving his country proudly during the Korean Conflict and was retired from Con-Agra Frozen Foods after 27 years of service. Mr. Boggs was a very compassionate man of God, who loved the Lord, family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Boggs was preceded in death by his son, Gary Boggs; a great-granddaughter, Chloe M. Sprouse; four brothers, Roscoe Boggs, Herbert Boggs, Leonard Boggs and David Boggs; and his sister, Linda Boggs.
Mr. Boggs is the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of 55 years, are three daughters, Dianna Miracle and her husband, David, of Greenville, Janice Boggs of Crimora and Carolyn Burt and husband, Keith of Fishersville; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014, at Oaklawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens by Mr. Boggs' son-in-law, Pastor David Miracle.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2014, at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton, is in charge of his arrangements. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.coffmanfuneralhome.net
