Passed away Sunday, April 2, 2006 in North Port, FL. Madge was born August 23, 1924 in Jackson, Michigan, the daughter of Charles and Ethel (Good-Hoard) Blair. She was a graduate of Western Michigan University, the University of Michigan, and had been a teacher for 25 years with Lansing-Everett Schools and Kalamazoo Public Schools. Madge was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Kalamazoo, and later attended St. Paul's UMC in Lawton and Trinity UMC in North Port, FL. On August 23, 1947 she was united in marriage to Burton I. Aalbregtse, who preceded her in death on November 29, 2002. She was also preceded in death by a sister and two brothers, Nydia Bombalicki, Ronald Blair and Bernard Blair. Surviving are her children, R. John (Dora) Aalbregtse of Winnetka, IL, Janette (Peter) Slinn of Seattle, WA, Anne (Dan) Visser of Kalamazoo; grandchildren, Chad (Jaime) Visser, Michele Visser, Melina Slinn; great-grandchildren, Jackson and Tessa Visser; a sister, Virginia (John) Jenkins of Burton, MI; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from 12-1 p.m. at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th St. where Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday with Rev. Ronald Brooks officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. Those wishing to make a lasting gift in Madge's name are asked to remember the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
