OBITUARY
James Gordon Day, 76, died in Lynchburg General Hospital. He was a son of the late John James Day and Ola Jackson Day Phillips and was preceded in death by his wife, Ione Genieva Kidd Day. He was retired from Westover Pharmacy, a US Marine Veteran and a member of Chestnut Hill Baptist Church. He is survived by three daughters, Carolyn F. Day and her husband, Harry Wayne Wright of Lynchburg, Deborah D. Evans and her husband, Darrell of Forest, Cindy D. Eagle and her husband, Tommy of Rustburg; a half-sister, Arlene Phillips Ewing and her husband, Harold Lee Ewing, of Altavista; three grandchildren, Steven Evans, Ryan Eagle and Derek Eagle. Additional survivors include a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Royer and her husband, Paul: brother-in-law, Jim Kidd and his wife, Lois; sister-in-law, Ester Kidd; and a number of nepherws and nieces.
